Frequently Asked Questions

General Information

How can you offer such great prices?

Salad Servers is one of Australia’s leading salad and meal producers and has been operating since 1979. We source from our approved suppliers and from local farmers with whom we have longstanding relationships. We prepare your meal kits in our Sydney based facility and deliver to your door. Historically, we have supplied salads, soups, sauces and risottos primarily for big retailers, supermarkets, airlines, restaurant and caterers, and now we are finally going direct to home saving you time and money.

This means you, the consumer, get the benefit of our large-scale facility and supply chain relationships, meaning you pay less. You don't have to pay $15.00 for a single meal when you can feed a family of four for the same price!

How does Salad Servers Direct work?

Simply browse this site and add your items into your shopping cart. Once you have paid for your order, we’ll arrange delivery to your delivery address in the next delivery window.

All of our products are delivered chilled. Some products, like soups, pasta and sauces, can be frozen and kept for up to three months.

Do I need to sign up to a subscription or contract?

No. There aren't any subscriptions, contracts or catches. You can order once or order every week – it’s up to you. A minimum order of $70.00 applies, which includes free delivery.

Do you offer gift cards? Do they expire?

Yes, we offer gift cards in the amount of $70, $100 and $200. These are digital only cards that are emailed to you upon purchase and can be used to purchase any item (except gift cards).

Please note you cannot purchase a gift card along with a physical item; these must be completed in two separate transactions.

Gift cards do not expire.

Do I have to use a gift card on one transaction only?

No. The balance of gift cards can be used on more than one transaction. For example, if you used $80 of a $100 gift card for one order, you could use the remaining $20 on another order.

If you need to find out the balance of your gift card, please contact our Customer Support team.

Salad Servers Direct orders come in a cardboard box with an insulated liner along with ice pack/s to keep your order chilled. Each of our products are packed either in a bag (party salads, curries, soups, risottos, stir fries, sauces), plastic recyclable and re-usable container (salads and sides), or a baking tray (bakes). For the products that are freezable, you can put the bags directly into the freezer. You can also recycle the cardboard box after you've unpacked your order.

Your order is kept refrigerated the entire time, from packing to delivery. You should refrigerate your order as soon as you can after delivery to ensure freshness.
